Grips: Beware of the massage therapists?
I am a student of massage therapy … I followed an intensive program for Last 6 Months and I'm about to graduate. I do not practice as much as a real LMT, but I use my hands a lot. In addition to the body in schools and clinics, also make jewelry and painting in my spare time. Recently, I realized that my wrists hurt … especially when more. Not really a pain or anything, but if the pain and suffering some discomfort. Any suggestions for the self or someone there with similar experience? Do not want to tarnish my career before you start! I also I am a student of massage therapy. The problem or concern has been raised in our courses. One of our teachers is an RN and LMT. She suggests that if you have pain you need take rest and ice the wrist. Because your hands are your future and must rest in order to take care of you. Also, watch your body mechanics. Make sure you are Do not bend your wrist all the time. Use your body is not dolls. You wrist is usually quite constant. Another way to help is a pariffin dive. You can do whole hand or you can paint the pariffin only dolls. (Do not know if you have studied pariffin fall, but will be wrapped in a coat then a Towl for 10 minutes) you can be a corset and wear at night to avoid too much for. But above all we must take care of our hands MT. Unfortunately, sometimes all you can do is rest or rice (rest, ice, compression and elevation) I hope that assistance.
