How come the 2007 Topps baseball come in two colors? The red and then the white color on the numbers?

I have an answer to this question and I’m going to give some more info…You are talking about the printed name on the back of the card. On the regular issue card the players name is in white. Several players Will have the same card produced. However, the name printed on the back of that card will be in red print. This red print card will be what is called a short printed variation or SP. The SP is typically only found in hobby packs or packs found at hobby/ card stores and not retail stores. The short print is worth more because, as its name implies, it is printed in shorter (less) quantities. Many card companies do this with all variations of their card lines in order to create a market buzz. Some card collectors try to piece together a set (only the regular cards) others the master set (all cards including the SP’s) others collect only players and their SP’s. In reference to regular issue Topps. The fronts of the cards also come in different colors. The base card for 07 is black. There is also a gold front which is sequentially numbered out of 2007 and a copper front which is numbered out 56.
